As a departure for organizing indoor events, Virginia Gillespie (VG PlayRoom), Heidi McCurdy and Celina Strachan are devising an embodied art in nature project under the name of Listening Bowl, connecting self, place and each other. Beginning Sunday, January 14th, the Word-Arts Project hosts in partnership with Surrey Muse a second monthly series of Word-Arts Live!‘ called Ages and Stages. It builds on the author, poet, performer format, and includes a discussion with the presenters. Sunday March 11th – Golden Years culminates the 2017 project grant with the City of Surrey.
The spring 2017 devising workshops inspired a (photos and video) PROJECT WoW – arts building without walls – a series of devised, arts-building activities at the Plot Sharing Garden in Newton culminated with Tip Toe Through The Garden. There was a kazoo and movement chorus procession and celebration with fairy garden tea party, music, art making and storytelling.
