As a departure from organizing indoor events, Virginia Gillespie (VG PlayRoom), Celina Strachan and Heidi McCurdy have devised an embodied art in nature project under the name of Listening Bowl, connecting self, place and each other through Rambles in nature that incorporate movement, sound and ceremony as well as maker projects in a variety of locations: Kwomais Point Park & Eagle Nest Labyrinth, Crescent Beach Circle of Stones, Semiahmoo Fish and Game, and various domestic and natural settings.
We are grateful to the City of Surrey Cultural Grants Program for project funding 2017 and 2018.
